I mean, what is this a social club? It’s like “starbucks gyms” are all over the place. You know what I’m talking about; people who have toned their jaw muscles more than anything else on their body while working out. I’m talking about women (an some men?) who put on make up to work out, and people doing bicep curls while on their cell phone with their other arm. What about the trainer and client who seem to be on a date rather than a training session? The point is you have to concentrate on what you’re doing to get optimal results.
Building muscle is not about moving a weight from point A to point B. It’s about squeezing the muscle and exerting complete control over every inch of the movement. You can’t do that while your running your mouth! You see, all lifts start with the brain. The brain directs the muscle through nerve impulses to push or pull and then the pulses, depending on their frequency and strength, can become a big factor in how much force you may apply on a given lift. This is called the mind-to-muscle connection. Creating a mind-to-muscle connection increases the probability that you’re using correct form. You can improve the quality of your workout by at least 25 percent by developing a mind-to-muscle connection. Keep that in mind next time you are trying to spot the cause for any lack of progress you may be having. So if you’re going to “gym-harmony.com” to look for a date, chances are you’re not going to get the results you set out for; at least as soon as you want it. So whether your working out by yourself, or training with someone else,
